But for Niyi Akin, being part of a Spider-Man movie was his lifelong dream. The young actor joined Tom Holland in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, making his debut in the beloved superhero franchise.

Niyi Akin may now be known for his role in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, but his journey to the Marvel film was years in the making. Before landing the role, he trained at The BRIT School and LAMDA, which are two of the UK's most respected performing arts institutions. Alongside his training, the young actor worked to build his career with roles in television shows such as Boarders, as per his IMDb profile.

He has also appeared in What It Feels Like for a Girl, Wake-Up, and Rebel Cheer Squad. In The Diplomat, he played the son of Danny Sapani and also starred alongside Hero Fiennes Tiffin in After Everything. Apart from acting, Akin co-founded the production company Ignorance Prevails with actor-filmmaker Blair Gyabaah. Through the company, he produced and directed his debut project, EVOL.
And cut to the present, Akin was able to play the role of David in Spider-Man: Brand New Day and was praised by fans. Following the film's release, the actor also took to Instagram to express his gratitude for the overwhelming support. However, Akin was not the only young actor who made his debut in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
Web Kid is one of the characters in the film that garnered attention for his brief appearance and has even sparked some intriguing questions.
Who is Web Kid?
The final moments of Spider-Man: Brand New Day introduced audiences to the mysterious "Web Kid," who is played by 7-year-old actor Elvis Carlos in his feature film debut. The young character appears outside a New York City hospital, sitting on the shoulders of his real-life father, Ken Carlos, and shares a heartfelt exchange with Tom Holland's Peter Parker. As Peter was carried out, he made eye contact with the Web Kid, who then made the iconic Spider-Man hand gesture.

After the film's release, Elvis Carlos' parents shared behind-the-scenes photos and videos on social media. Carlos' mother also expressed gratitude to director Destin Daniel Cretton, Tom Holland, and the production team for making the moment happen. As confirmed by the parents, this was Elvis' first movie, and this is likely just the beginning. As for Web Kid, this has once again left fans speculating on whether it is related to Miles Morales or something far more important in the future of the franchise.
