Jennifer Lawrence, currently in talks for Die, My Love, has recently found herself added to that familiar conversation, courtesy of actress Madelyn Keys, whose resemblance has begun turning heads.

Clips from Keys’ latest series make the comparison difficult to ignore, the likeness striking enough to momentarily blur the line between coincidence and casting déjà vu. Still, Keys is not content to live as a reflection. Shared bone structure aside, she is steadily carving out her own space in the industry.

Madelyn Keys is a 24-year-old Canadian actress, writer, and director. She is best known for her work in Under the Christmas Tree, Ki---- Prom, The Exchange, Montréal Girls, and Three Pines. Apart from acting, Keys has also made her presence known as a screenwriter, earning an Outstanding Achievement Award for her film script Eavesdrop at the 2021 Tagore International Film Festival.

While she is getting her claim to fame only now, she has been in the entertainment industry since the age of 10. The actress recently appeared in the Netflix drama Finding Her Edge, where she played former ice skater Adriana Russo, who decided to return to the ice. As Keys continues to gain traction on social media, many viewers have pointed out her resemblance to Jennifer Lawrence.

In some stills from Finding Her Edge, fans noted that she looks especially similar to Lawrence during her The Hunger Games era as Katniss Everdeen. Keys, who may have heard all the online chatter, finally responded by sharing a heartwarming photo of herself with Jennifer Lawrence.

The two are not related, but as a child actress, Madelyn Keys has had the chance to meet Jennifer Lawrence early on. So, fittingly, when the world was whispering about their resemblance, she shared an old, wholesome photo of her posing with Lawrence on her Instagram. She also dropped a heartwarming message along with it. 

“The comparison on everyone’s minds! We have in fact, been spotted in the same room at the same time,” the 24-year-old wrote in the caption.

In another interview with Swoon, the young actress also spoke about her love for The Hunger Games series, proudly declaring herself Team Katniss. While the two may not be related or share identical facial features, they do have something important in common: talent.

Although Keys still has plenty of time to grow, for now, her current show, Finding Her Edge, is finding all the love it deserves on Netflix.
