Jordan Li is the deuteragonist of Gen V, the spin-off series of The Boys, introduced as a fiercely competitive junior at Godolkin University and Professor Brinkerhoff’s former T.A. Born in Rochester, New York, to Paul and Kayla Li in the early 2000s, Li became a Supe shortly after birth after their parents accepted Vought’s Compound V injections, granting them superhuman abilities. Li initially experienced a fairly ordinary childhood before eventually discovering the rare ability, something that deeply unsettled their parents, especially their father.
Long before Godolkin’s blood-soaked chaos, Li’s life still carried flashes of normal teenage moments, from awkward crushes on Ruby to dating Jenny Boccabella in sixth grade, while Ruby herself remained one of Jordan Li’s closest friends through high school. Identifying as bigender, the character is portrayed through two forms by both Derek Luh in the male form and London Thor in the female form.
However, Li’s real importance inside the franchise began after Godolkin’s darkest secrets started surfacing.
How does Jordan Li connect to Gen V?
In Gen V, recently cancelled after season 2, Jordan Li initially appeared as a cold, rankings-obsessed student determined to stay among Godolkin University’s elite Supes. However, their journey quickly spiralled far beyond campus rankings after repeated clashes with Marie Moreau slowly evolved into one of the franchise’s most emotionally tangled relationships. As the series unfolded, Li became deeply tied to the horrifying secrets buried beneath Godolkin itself, from The Woods and Brink’s experiments to Shetty’s anti-Supe virus project and Vought’s larger conspiracies.
Along the way, Li fought some of Gen V’s deadliest threats, including Golden Boy, Sam Riordan, Cipher, and multiple Woods Supes, while surviving the brutal Godolkin massacre that reshaped the entire university. By the later events of the series, Li eventually steps beyond being just another student and becomes part of the growing underground resistance connected to Starlight.
But beyond the emotional chaos, Li’s terrifying powers are what truly turned the Supe into a fandom favourite.
What are Jordan Li’s powers and abilities?
In Jordan Li’s female form, destruction arrives through raw energy itself. The form allows Li to fire devastating concussive blasts from their palms, powerful enough to throw, stun, and kill both humans and Supes, while enhanced agility, rapid healing, and lightning-fast reflexes make them terrifying during combat. Whether dodging Golden Boy’s attacks or overpowering enemies inside The Woods, Li's female form moves with lethal speed.

However, Li’s male form transforms them into an almost unstoppable tank inside The Boys universe. Built around near-complete indestructibility, the form can survive gunfire, explosions, laser vision, brutal punches, and direct attacks from Supes like Sam Riordan and Golden Boy with barely any damage. Combined with immense superhuman strength, enhanced hearing, and brutal hand-to-hand combat skills, Li ultimately stands among Godolkin University’s deadliest young Supes.
And now, with Jordan Li rumoured to appear in the next episode releasing this Wednesday, the Supe still seems far from finished inside The Boys universe’s growing chaos.
