Who Is Emma Elle Paterson? Meet the Sheline Actress From ‘The Boys’ Season 5

The latest chapter of The Boys is not shy about introducing strange new heroes and even stranger villains. Season 5, the show’s final ride on Amazon Prime Video, arrives with a new generation of supes stepping into the chaos. Among the most intriguing additions are Maitreyi Ramakrishnan and Emma Elle Paterson, appearing as members of the youthful superhero collective known as Teenage Kix.

Like many performers who eventually wander into Vought’s blood-splattered spotlight, Paterson arrives with a mix of indie grit, television appearances, and a willingness to play characters who live in morally grey spaces.

So who exactly are these newcomers shaking up the brutal satire of Vought’s universe? And more specifically, who is the actress behind the mysterious Sheline?

Emma Elle Paterson joins The Boys as Sheline

In Season 5 of The Boys, Emma Elle Paterson plays Sheline, a member of the young superhero squad Teenage Kix, a group that feels like Vought International’s attempt to manufacture the next generation of marketable heroes. The season also introduces actors such as Maitreyi Ramakrishnan and Dylan Colton as fellow members of the team, while Ely Henry appears as a new supe known as The Worm. As always in the show’s universe, the shiny branding hides something darker underneath.

Paterson, a Montreal native, has already appeared in several projects before landing in the supes’ chaotic world. She played Blake in the 2025 television series Bet, appeared as Ivana’s girlfriend in the political drama film The Apprentice starring Jeremy Strong and Sebastian Stan, and portrayed Sloane in the television movie If I Go Missing (2024). Those roles, ranging from thriller television to character-driven drama, hint at the kind of versatility that makes her casting in The Boys particularly intriguing.

But just as her profile begins rising in the superhero genre, Paterson is already preparing for something darker.

Emma Elle Paterson’s next project: the thriller Candy

Emma Elle Paterson is expanding her career behind the camera as well. According to reports by Deadline, the actress has signed on to star in and produce a new thriller titled Candy, marking a significant step forward in her evolving career.

Directed by Jessica Michael Davis, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Mindy McGinnis, the film is based on a short story by McGinnis. The story follows a young woman who undergoes a radical bodily transformation to reclaim control over her life. Yet as she adopts the persona of Candy, empowerment gradually shifts into a dangerous spiral of vengeance and moral ambiguity.

The project also features Davis in an acting role alongside Darius Jordan Lee of Dexter: Resurrection. Describing the film, Davis called Candy a “dark, wildly fun and unapologetic” thriller that places female agency at the center rather than framing the narrative through a male gaze. Production is expected to begin this summer, with producer Jeffrey Weber attached as executive producer.

For Paterson, the move from playing young supes in The Boys to producing a psychologically charged thriller signals an actress determined to shape her own narrative. As The Boys barrels toward its explosive finale, characters like Sheline represent the next wave of talent entering the franchise’s chaotic universe.
