Bombsight has been confirmed as the newest addition to Season 5 of The Boys, and he is also set to appear alongside Soldier Boy in Vought Rising. The character is a World War II era Supe who received an early version of Compound V from Frederick Vought. Thanks to this serum, he may even be immortal.

As hinted in The Boys, Bombsight is believed to still possess the V-One serum, something Homelander is particularly interested in as he seeks immortality. Whether those efforts will succeed, however, remains uncertain. As for Bombsight's addition, the final season of The Boys appears to be establishing the characters who will feature in the upcoming prequel.

Like most Supes, Bombsight also has a range of superhuman abilities, including flight, enhanced strength, durability, and heightened hearing, making him one of the most formidable Supes. However, he is not without weaknesses. High-frequency sounds can cause him intense pain.

As for the actor, Stranger Things star Mason Dye is set to portray the character, as seen in early clips. What remains unclear is the exact role Bombsight will play in the series. The finale, scheduled for May 20, is expected to shed light on several mysteries, including whether the Boys can finally stop Homelander.

That said, fans may have to wait longer for more details about Vought Rising, since very few details are available about its release date and plot.

Plot and release date of Vought Rising

After The Boys, its prequel spin-off series Vought Rising is set in the 1950s, during the early days of Vought’s inception. The show is expected to explore the early days of the organisation that is seen in the original series. It will reportedly follow Soldier Boy as well as Clara Vought, better known as Stormfront.

While an official release date has not yet been announced, the series could arrive in late 2026 or early 2027, as production is already underway. Jensen Ackles will reprise his role as Soldier Boy, while Aya Cash is set to return as a younger version of Stormfront. The cast will also include Mason Dye as Bombsight, Elizabeth Posey as Private Angel, and Will Hochman as Torpedo. With The Boys currently at peak tension, the series is already hinting at the drama that could be seen in Vought Rising by introducing characters like Bombsight early on.
