That said, Amy Madigan and her husband are a true power couple, having remained together for over 40 years through every trial and tribulation. They have been each other’s unwavering support system. Even now, as Madigan’s performance in Weapons receives widespread praise, her husband continues to be her loudest supporter.

Now, her husband is himself a household name in the industry. Madigan often fondly talks about her husband and how the two stay strong together even after all these years.

As many already know, Amy Madigan has been married to Ed Harris for more than 4 decades. Harris is a renowned actor, producer, and director. After graduating from the California Institute of the Arts, he began his acting career and later became a director.

Many might recognise him for his roles in The Truman Show, Apollo 13, and Pollock. After rising to fame, the two got married in 1983 and have been going strong even now. When asked about her relationship, Madigan had a simple answer.

"We just love each other and we work really hard at that and in our work," Madigan told the media at the New York Film Critics Circle Awards. Their only daughter, Lily, is also in the film industry. She recently appeared in Skillhouse. As for Madigan’s nomination at the Oscars for her role in Weapons, the entire family is excited.

Madigan also spoke about her husband’s reaction to her achievement and her character in the movie Weapons.

Amy Madigan gained much traction for playing the antagonist Aunt Gladys in Weapons, which is available for streaming. And that earned her nominations for Best Supporting Actress. This comes more than 3 decades after her first nomination for Twice in a Lifetime. 

She also further added how her family and her daughter are excited for her. Speaking of her husband’s reaction, she expressed gratitude for all the love and support. For Madigan, the love and support that have carried her and Ed Harris through over four decades together.

"He loved it," she told PEOPLE. "He's known me a long time and he saw all the parts of myself melded into Aunt Gladys. So, I have a very supportive family, my daughter also, so I'm very lucky." Safe to say, she is already a winner in both her personal life and career.
