What adds to the gritty and dark tone of Nicolas Cage’s Spider-Noir is its noir locations, which are the smoky alleys, vintage architecture, eerie streets, and shadowy mansions. These perfectly showed the atmosphere of 1930s New York City. While a few scenes were filmed across parts of Los Angeles County and Santa Barbara County, the rest were shot at several locations and streets, which were carefully transformed to recreate the era.
Here is a close look at all the filming locations featured in the series.

One of the major filming locations for the series was the Fort MacArthur Museum in San Pedro, Los Angeles. The historic military site, along with its architecture and tunnels, was used as the backdrop for the show. Some scenes were also shot at the Port of Los Angeles and the Harbor Boulevard district.
To recreate the gritty Manhattan of the 1930s, several parts of Downtown Los Angeles were transformed into filming locations. As many viewers may have noticed, some scenes were also shot across the Historic Core District. The street scenes involving Nicolas Cage’s character, Ben Reilly, were filmed at that location.
Both Los Angeles County and Santa Barbara County were used to filming several scenes for the series because of their architecture and streets. The production was also filmed on Figueroa Mountain Road to show its hills, stretching landscapes, and roads. The mountainous areas of Los Olivos and Solvang were also used for the series.
Two more crucial filming locations for the series were Alhambra and Wrensmoor Castle at 1700 Grand View Drive in San Gabriel Valley, along with Pasadena and Monterey Park. While the dark and gritty streets captured the feel of 1930s New York, the vast landscapes were used to show Ben Reilly’s inner turmoil and troubled past.
Now, whether it is the story or the location, fans loved the first season of the series, which raises the question if it could return for another season.
Is there a season 2 for Spider-Noir?
As of now, there has been no official confirmation for a second season of the Marvel series Spider-Noir. However, the creators and producers have expressed interest in continuing the story. Executive producers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller stated that they would be open to making more seasons if the opportunity arises.
“We are television producers. We’re not gonna say no,” Miller told The Hollywood Reporter.

“One of the magical things about any private detective story is, if you want another story, all it takes is another client to knock on that door, and then comes a new set of cases, a new set of problems and a new adventure to go one,” Spider-Noir creator and co-showrunner Oren Uziel said.
Spider-Noir follows Ben Reilly, played by Nicolas Cage, who is a troubled private investigator and former vigilante known as The Spider in 1930s New York City. Set in a dark, noir-inspired world, the show combines crime, mystery, and superhero action. The first episode of the series is currently streaming on Prime Video and MGM+.
