Spider-Man has spent more than two decades swinging between skyscrapers and cinematic reinventions, but Spider-Man: Brand New Day carries a different kind of weight. It marks Tom Holland's return after the reality-altering ending of Spider-Man: No Way Home, with Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures setting the stage for a more grounded chapter in Peter Parker's journey. As production gathers pace ahead of its theatrical release, the film has already turned several real-world locations into pieces of Marvel's latest puzzle.

The cameras have not remained in one city for long, and every stop along the way has quietly hinted at the scale of Peter Parker's next adventure without giving away the entire map.

Unlike previous Spider-Man installments that relied heavily on Atlanta soundstages, Spider-Man: Brand New Day has embraced an expansive international production schedule. Glasgow, Scotland, has emerged as the film's most recognizable location, with Bothwell Street transformed into a convincing stand-in for Midtown Manhattan. The Scottish city has become a favorite among blockbuster productions thanks to its blend of historic architecture and modern high-rises, allowing Marvel to recreate New York's urban rhythm while maintaining tighter production logistics. 

Production has also stretched across England and the United States. Scenes have reportedly been filmed in Basingstoke, Hampshire, alongside various locations in London. Historic Dockyard Chatham in Kent has provided another distinctive backdrop, with Slip 7 Boatyard and HMS Cavalier suggesting that the film could feature waterfront sequences or action set pieces involving naval infrastructure. Meanwhile, filming has also taken place in New York City itself, combining authentic exterior shots with studio work to preserve the unmistakable identity of Spider-Man's home borough.

Every filming destination feels like another breadcrumb leading toward Marvel's next chapter, but the locations are only part of a much larger mystery surrounding Peter Parker's future.

Marvel Studios has remained notably guarded about the film's official plot, a familiar strategy for one of the franchise's most closely watched productions. However, the ending of Spider-Man: No Way Home established a completely new status quo. Doctor Strange's spell erased Peter Parker from everyone's memory, leaving him isolated and forced to rebuild his life without the support of friends or mentors. That emotional reset aligns with the comic storyline that inspired the film's title, although Marvel has not confirmed a direct adaptation. 

Adding to the anticipation is the expanding cast. Tom Holland returns as Peter Parker alongside Zendaya and Jacob Batalon, while newcomers including Sadie Sink and Liza Colón-Zayas have joined the ensemble in undisclosed roles. Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, best known for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, the film is expected to lean into a more street-level narrative while remaining connected to the broader Marvel Cinematic Universe. 

With filming spanning multiple countries and the story promising a fresh beginning for Peter Parker, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is shaping up to be one of Marvel's most anticipated releases.
