Coming from the mind of the creator of Desperate Housewives, Mark Cherry, Why Women Kill is a dark comedy anthology that follows different women across different timelines as they deal with infidelity and betrayal. The show comes with just the right punch of scandals, heartbreaks, and intrigue, while balancing humor with sharp criticism of societal structures and patriarchal expectations. And each season sees deadly consequences as the female characters are pushed to the side.

Now, nearly five years after the second season premiered, where can fans stream both the seasons of the show?

Why Women Kill is a Paramount+ original series, and both seasons are available to stream on the platform. However, those without access to Paramount+ can still stream the show on Apple TV. It is also available to purchase on Amazon Prime.

The first season follows three women, Beth Ann Stanton, Simone Grove, and Taylor Harding, across the timelines of 1963, 1984, and 2019, each dealing with infidelity in their own way. Interestingly, all three women are connected to each other as they lived in the same house in Pasadena, California. The cast includes Ginnifer Goodwin, Lucy Liu, and Kirby Howell-Baptiste.

The second season focused on a single timeline in 1949, following Alma Fillcot, a seemingly ordinary housewife who discovers that her husband is a serial killer. What follows is her bizarre transformation from just a homemaker into someone far more sinister. Allison Tolman plays Alma in this season of one of the best shows on Paramount+.

Now that it has been quite some time since the second season premiered, when can fans expect a third season?

What happened to the promised season 3 of Why Women Kill

Despite earlier hopes, Why Women Kill will not be returning for a third season. The series originally premiered in 2019 when the platform was still known as CBS All Access. After two seasons, the dark comedy anthology was officially canceled by Paramount+.

“We would like to thank our partners at CBS Studios and Imagine Television Studios, the amazing creator and showrunner Marc Cherry and the incredible writers, cast and crew for two memorable seasons,” a spokeperson told Variety.

This came as a surprise, especially since the show had already been renewed for Season 3 in December 2021. So, clearly, there remains yet another story to be told following women and their complicated story. However, unfortunately, there is no season 3 for the show despite its massive fandom.
