Animated shows like Jujutsu Kaisen and Demon Slayer have been impressive in showing breathtaking and pulse-pounding action scenes. Another gem to add to this lineup could be Virgin Punk: Clockwork Girl. Set in a futuristic world, the film has brilliant action scenes that feel more intense than anything experienced before. 

The movie impressed fans upon its 2025 release and has found its way to the U.S., too. After its theatrical release, is the film available to stream online? And if it is, then where?

Directed by Yasuomi Umetsu and created by Shaft Studio, Virgin Punk: Clockwork Girl was released in theaters on June 27, 2025. Later in November, Aniplex released it in America. And as of now, fans can only watch the movie in theaters.  

Although the movie runs for just 35 minutes, its action scenes have quickly gained traction. Set in the year 2099, Virgin Punk: Clockwork Girl is about a futuristic world that has freed itself from illness and disease through the revolutionary Medical Android technology known as Somadea. 

However, this advancement came at a price, as it has led to a surge in crime related to Somadea. That saw the rise of bounty hunters like the protagonist of the movie, Ubu Kamigori. Turned into a bounty hunter at just 14, Ubu earns her living by tracking down criminals. She also uses the special advanced prosthetics called Somadae. But her life takes an unexpected turn when she meets Mr. Elegance.

While there is no confirmed streaming release date for the movie yet, fans can watch another animated masterpiece, Arco, released in the same month as Virgin Punk: Clockwork Girl.

Arco is a beautifully crafted 2D animated feature that premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 7, 2025, before arriving in theaters that November. As of now, the film is available to rent on Amazon Prime Video, Fandango at Home, and Apple TV. Directed by French illustrator Ugo Bienvenu, the film follows a 10-year-old boy who accidentally travels back in time, only to find himself caught in a perilous adventure. 

Alongside a young girl and a robot companion, he must deal with the dangers to save the world. The English dub boasts a stellar voice cast, including Natalie Portman, Will Ferrell, America Ferrera, Flea, Mark Ruffalo, and Andy Samberg. And with an impressive 90% critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes, Arco is a visually stunning movie, elevated by awe-inspiring animation and intricate detailing, which is well worth the time, just Virgin Punk: Clockwork Girl.
