A Mosquito in the Ear is a 2026 drama from writer-director Nicola Rinciari, based on Andrea Ferraris’ graphic novel Una Zanzara nell’Orecchio. The film stars Jake Lacy as Andrew, Nazanin Boniadi as Daniela, and Ruhi Pal as Sarvari, a four-year-old girl they have adopted from India.

The story follows Andrew and Daniela as they travel to Goa to meet Sarvari and bring her home to the United States. What they expect to be the beginning of their life as a family quickly becomes more complicated when Sarvari struggles with leaving the orphanage she has always known as home.
