This franchise usually goes to theatres first before the streaming and VOD rollout. Avatar: Fire and Ash, which has brought together the franchise’s old favorites like Sam Worthington (Jake Sully), Zoe Saldaña (Neytiri), Sigourney Weaver (Kiri), and new faces, including Oona Chaplin as Varang, is likely to be streaming on Disney+ and Hulu soon after its theatre run ends. In an interview with IGN, James Cameron mentioned that Fire and Ash will obliterate the Sullys’ family bonds, so keep the tissues ready. Meanwhile, Kiri’s origin story will be a highlight in the film. Cameron told the outlet, “I think it's important to think of (The Way of Water) and (Fire and Ash) as a complete story that fully resolves," hinting that Avatar 4 and 5 are not guaranteed. The film has already traveled through wars of water and now wars of fire, to not just entertain but to gradually provoke thoughts on humanity.
