While Martin Scorsese’s cinematic adaptation immortalized Jordan Belfort’s self-indulgent exploits on the silver screen, the true-crime history behind the infamous stock-manipulation scheme is finally getting a definitive, evidence-backed deep dive. Following its successful US debut on Paramount+, the explosive three-part investigative docuseries The Real Wolf of Wall Street is officially gearing up for its international rollout.

For viewers eager to look past the Hollywood gloss and examine the actual FBI files, unreleased footage, and firsthand accounts from insiders, here is everything one needs to know about when and where to catch the series on the BBC in the UK and Stan in Australia.

The Real Wolf of Wall Street BBC and Stan release details

International audiences outside the United States will not have to wait much longer to dive into a deep-dive investigative look at the infamous career of Jordan Belfort. Following its American debut on Paramount+ on July 14, 2026 - which dropped all three installments simultaneously - the factual documentary project The Real Wolf of Wall Street is officially locked in for an early 2027 rollout abroad, per C21 Media.

Viewers in the UK can catch the broadcast via the BBC, while Australian fans will stream it on Stan, though precise calendar dates and time slots remain under wraps for now. The international distribution rights for the explosive docuseries have officially been snapped up by the BBC in the United Kingdom and Stan in Australia, following a major international push by sales agent Hat Trick International at the MIPCOM Cannes market.

Behind the scenes, the project is a massive collaborative effort, co-produced by Maxine Productions (under the Sony Pictures Television umbrella), Bloomberg, and See It Now Studios specifically for Paramount+ (via C21 Media). It is a fascinating circle-back for the material, given that Paramount Pictures originally brought Belfort’s hedonistic, high-rolling Wall Street exploits to the big screen via Leonardo DiCaprio and Margot Robbie's iconic feature film.

Moving far beyond Hollywood dramatization, the three-part investigative series constructs its narrative using a treasure trove of raw historical evidence.

The docuseries brings an unseen aspect of the infamous case

Producers of The Real Wolf of Wall Street combed through thousands of confidential, unreleased FBI files and integrated rare archival footage to map out Stratton Oakmont’s meteoric rise and catastrophic collapse during the 1990s. The documentary anchors its storytelling with firsthand commentary from figures intimately tied to the unfolding scandal, including former employee Donna Schlessinger and Nadine Belfort, the real-life inspiration behind Margot Robbie’s cinematic counterpart.

Together, the series traces how the infamous boiler room mastermind orchestrated a massive securities fraud scheme, ultimately culminating in a guilty plea, a brief federal prison sentence, and a dramatic pivot to working as an FBI informant against his former co-conspirators. The UK and Australian audience will soon get to stream the three-part docuseries.
