“What’s wrong with you?”- Margot Robbie Reveals How Her Friends Reacted to Her Role in ‘Barbie’, Opposite to Ryan Gosling’s Ken

Barbie has taken the box office by storm. Greta Gerwig’s plastic world of Barbie
is enchanting audiences. It has raked in a staggering $70.5 million on its
opening Friday. The film boasts a stellar ensemble, led by the captivating
talents of Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, Simu Liu, and America Ferrera, creating
an irresistible cinematic experience. With its ingenious storyline, the movie
breathes new life into discontinued Barbies

and cleverly embarks on a journey to empower Ken and make him recognize his true
value.

The anticipation among Robbie and her fellow cast members was palpable as they
eagerly awaited the momentous kiss between the movie’s main leads. Surprisingly,
no lip touches transpire between Ken and Barbie. Although the film beautifully
portrays their deep connection and chemistry, Robbie couldn’t help but feel a
tinge of disappointment. It turns out this was an unfulfilled item on her bucket
list.

Beyond Robbie’s own disappointment, it was her close group of girlfriends who
felt thoroughly perplexed by the lack of a kiss between the co-stars in a movie
they had done together. They playfully questioned Robbie about how they could do
an entire film side by side and not share a single on-screen kiss. They
exclaimed, “What’s wrong with you? I thought you were kind of in charge on this
one!’”

Amidst their laughter, the idea of Gosling trying to figure out how to kiss
Barbie in the context of the film was seen as a humorous twist. The fans, too,
joined in on the humor, flooding Twitter with their hilarious reactions to the
one thing that Barbie couldn’t quite manage in the movie.

FANS TAKE DIFFERENT NOTES ON MARGOT ROBBIE’S ON-SCREEN KISS BANTER

Amidst the humor and lighthearted banter, some users approached the situation
from a different perspective, pointing out that if the roles were reversed and a
male actor had expressed disappointment over not having an on-screen kiss, it
might have been viewed differently. Considering Ryan Gosling’s marital status as
a devoted husband and father of two, these users raised valid concerns.

As the movie unfolded, a diverse array of viewers shared their reactions, and
while some playfully teased about the absence of a kiss between the main leads,
many others were thoroughly content with the movie’s ending.
