‘The Fresh Prince’, aka, Will Smith, is all set to return to the big screen after a break. The actor has been lined up for major projects like Bad Boys 4 and Fast and Loose since the Oscar slap incident. With an amazing repertoire spanning comedy, drama, and action, he has captured the hearts of his audiences worldwide. Recently, Will Smith is making headlines again, but this time not for his stellar acting skills. 

The multifaceted entertainer has surprised his fans by starring in a new survival game and as the rule goes, fans just cannot wait for its unveiling. With this new venture into the world of gaming, he’s also giving his fans a déjà vu about a past role he played in I Am Legend, Robert Neville. 

Back in  2021, Tencent announced its survival game, Undawn, and finally, after 2 years, it is coming soon. And what has excited fans, even more, is Will Smith’s featuring in the same. On Wednesday, developers of the game, Lightspeed Studios, and Level Infinite announced that Smith will be playing the character of Trey Jones in the game. 

Despite having a strong Hollywood career, Smith has never appeared or voiced in a game. But with Undawn, he is all set to make his gaming debut. The actor also took to his Instagram and announced the same with a “What’s in the box” game that gave a ‘sneak peek’ into the game and the ‘tools critical for survival’. This has fans brimming with anticipation, their excitement reaching a fever pitch that is electric with energy.

Fans react to Will Smith’s Trey Jones 

With the anticipation reaching a crescendo, Smith’s fans are eagerly waiting to play Undawn with Trey Jones and ensure his survival. The Instagram game played by Smith added to the excitement and has over 84.7K reactions from fans. One fan wrote, “I  love this guy forever. Idc. Idc. 😂”. 

Other fans were quick to notice his beard style instead of what exactly is in the box. One noticed he has had a ‘Dominican cut’ whereas another wrote, “Will brought the genie beard back 🔥”. 

Many fans found the entire game funny and bombarded Smith’s comment section with laughter emojis. One wrote that the entire thing was too funny and he should be doing this more and more often. While others were able to relate the game with his I Am Legend. One fan wrote, “Get back to your I am legend instants Will you can definitely survive”. 

Undawn is a survival game where players build bases and gather resources with their ultimate goal of surviving in a world full of dangers. The game is currently allowing users to pre-register and it will release on June 15.

Will Smith is also set to have two releases ahead of him, Netflix’s Fast and Loose and Bad Boys 4. For Bad Boys 4, both Martin Lawrence and Smith will return as the beloved detective duo but without Theresa Randle, who has exited the franchise.
