Since the streaming consciousness awakened in the digital world, viewers have sought comfort in the diminishing distance between the ordinary and the extraordinary. While the streaming era has given plenty of reasons to remain proactive in pop culture, with the expansion of content libraries, the audience has found enough intrigue to keep themselves occupied every streaming season. Amidst the highlights of the streaming world, an Off Campus series with an all-star cast has been developing at Amazon Studios.

For those unaware but curious about Off Campus and its star-studded ensemble, here is a rundown of all you need to know.

According to a recent Variety report, the upcoming Amazon series adaptation of Elle Kennedy’s Off Campus books has tapped seven series regulars to its ensemble. The show was originally announced last October and has recently added the following A-listers to the project, including Ella Bright (The Crown) as Hannah, Belmont Camelli (Until Dawn) as Garett, Mika Abdalla (Snack Shack) as Allie, and Antonio Cipriano (Pretty Little Liars) as Logan.

Jalen Thomas Brooks (Thanksgiving) as Tucker, Josh Heuston (Heartbreak High) as Justin, and Stephen Kalyn (Gen V) as Dean round out the Off Campus cast update. Louisa Levy is adapting the books, serving as a co-showrunner and executive producer alongside Gina Fattore. Temple Hill’s Annika Patton is a producer alongside Kennedy and Amazon MGM Studios. Temple Hill’s Wyck Godfrey, Marty Bowen, and James Seidman also executive produce with Leanna Billings via Billings Production, Neal Flaherty, and Silver Tree.

While the cast looks beyond promising, what is the storyline of Off Campus on Amazon?

In the rat race of streamers, it is difficult to stand out. However, Amazon has a history of rivaling its counterparts in the streaming game, and with each of their anticipated releases, the competition becomes all the clearer. Coming to the first season of Off Campus, the forthcoming Amazon series adaptation of Elle Kennedy’s books will be based on The Deal, published in 2015.

According to the official synopsis, face-off meets first love in this charming series. Ella Bright, a music major who is more off-key to hockey, finds herself in a power play romance with Belmont Camelli, Briar University’s star player with a penchant for puckish charm. The show follows the ice hockey team as they navigate the rink of young adulthood, tackling love, heartbreak, and self-discovery with their teammates and the women who capture their hearts.
