Hollywood rarely hands one actor six wildly different worlds across a single career stretch, yet that is precisely the gift Zendaya has been given. From ancient Greek mythology to a web-slinging multiverse, from desert politics to a microphone soaked in 1960s glamour, the range on display borders on absurd. As the rundown moves fast, the gods, spiders, sandworms, ogres, and rockstars are all waiting their turn.
As genres collide across this run, a familiar web slinger kicks things off.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day

Zendaya returns as Michelle Jones-Watson for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, hitting theaters July 31, 2026. Set years after Spider-Man: No Way Home, the story finds Peter Parker erased from everyone's memory, isolated and unraveling as his powers shift in dangerous new directions. Jacob Batalon, Sadie Sink, Jon Bernthal, and Michael Mando join the chaos, with Zendaya reportedly shaping MJ's emotional arc behind the scenes.
While Spider-Man swings into uncertainty, the gods are calling from Olympus.
The Odyssey
Zendaya steps into the sandals of Athena, goddess of wisdom and strategy, in Christopher Nolan's sprawling adaptation of Homer's epic poem. Arriving July 17, 2026, The Odyssey tracks Odysseus on a ten-year odyssey home following a brutal decade-long conflict in Troy, dodging monsters, sirens, and meddling deities along the way. Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Matt Damon, Robert Pattinson, Charlize Theron, and Lupita Nyong'o round out a cast built for IMAX-scale spectacle.
As the gods rest, the sands of Arrakis are shifting too.
Dune: Part Three
Denis Villeneuve closes out his desert trilogy with Dune: Part Three, landing December 18, 2026, and Zendaya's Chani finally moves from the sidelines to the center of the story. Adapted from Dune Messiah, the plot follows Paul Atreides as his rule on Arrakis collapses under political intrigue, betrayal, and galactic upheaval. Timothee Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Florence Pugh, and Javier Bardem return for a finale built on consequence rather than conquest.
While Arrakis burns with tension, a much softer, greener world is just gearing up.
Shrek 5
In a sharp tonal swing, Zendaya voices Felicia, the teenage daughter of Shrek and Fiona, in the long-awaited Shrek 5. Currently slated for summer 2027, the film brings the ogre family back for fresh fairy tale chaos layered with the franchise's trademark humor. Mike Myers, Cameron Diaz, and Eddie Murphy return alongside her, adding another animated credit to her growing and varied filmography.
As the swamp settles, a sixties stage beckons with far higher stakes.
Be My Baby
Zendaya is set to play Ronnie Spector, legendary frontwoman of The Ronettes, in the A24 biopic Be My Baby, currently expected to begin filming in fall 2026. The project traces Spector's rise through the 1960s music scene, her signature hits, and the deeply difficult relationship that shadowed her career. Barry Jenkins directs, and Spector reportedly handpicked Zendaya for the role herself before her passing.
While that story is rooted in fact, one more possibility floats firmly in rumor territory.
Bourne Reboot

Whispers of a gender flipped Bourne reboot with Zendaya in the lead have circulated since June 2026, though nothing has moved past early development. The concept would reimagine the amnesiac spy thriller through a fresh lead, leaning on identity and high-stakes chases. Universal has denied any active talks, leaving this one firmly in the rumor mill for now.
From a forgotten superhero to Olympus, from Arrakis to a forgotten teenage ogre, Zendaya's 2026 has quietly become the busiest, boldest stretch of her career, proving the girl who started on a Disney soundstage can now hold up an entire universe of stories on her own.
