Pedro Pascal’s upcoming slate has a little bit of everything: a cello, a stretchy superhero suit, a noir romance, and a multiverse-sized headache. The internet’s favorite dad figure is not exactly easing into a quiet year, either. Two of his films are set to hit theaters just two weeks apart this December, leaving barely enough time for audiences to recover before he’s back on their screens. And 2027 is already waiting in the wings with more Pascal to look forward to.
While the blockbusters get the billboards, the first release on the list is a drama that has already been winning over festival audiences.
Behemoth!
Behemoth! reaches theaters on December 4, 2026, after premiering as the Centerpiece selection at the New York Film Festival on October 2. Tony Gilroy wrote and directed it, so the mind behind Michael Clayton and Andor now points that sharp eye at a cellist instead of a spy. Searchlight Pictures handles the release, and the film runs roughly 125 minutes with an R rating.

Pascal plays Alex Serian, a former child prodigy and gifted cellist who returns to Los Angeles to settle family business while working as a Hollywood session musician. He appears in essentially every scene, and he began cello lessons before the project was even locked, which is dedication with a bow. Olivia Wilde, Eva Victor, Will Arnett, and Hank Azaria fill out the family and romantic orbit, while composers such as James Newton Howard, Alan Silvestri and Michael Giacchino contribute to a score that sits at the center of the story.
As the final note fades, the calendar wastes no time, because a very different Pascal arrives two weeks later in a stretchy suit.
Avengers: Doomsday
Avengers: Doomsday opens on December 18, 2026, and it brings Anthony Russo and Joe Russo back to the MCU after Avengers: Endgame. The story sets a crowded roster of heroes against Doctor Doom, played by Robert Downey Jr., a casting choice that launched a thousand fan theories. Production wrapped earlier, and the film stands as a major Phase 6 tentpole.
Pedro Pascal returns as Reed Richards, also known as Mister Fantastic, the stretchable genius who leads the Fantastic Four, continuing from The Fantastic Four: First Steps in 2025. Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn and Ebon Moss-Bachrach return alongside him, while Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Mackie and Florence Pugh join the crowd. Even Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen appear among the X-Men names, so Reed may need extra arms just to wave hello.
While Doomsday handles the multiverse, the next film retreats into the shadows of 1930s Los Angeles, and the mood changes completely.
De Noche
De Noche is expected in 2027, although no firm release date exists yet. Todd Haynes, the filmmaker behind Carol and May December, directs from a script he wrote with Jonathan Raymond, and the project was first developed with Joaquin Phoenix before Pedro Pascal stepped in. Filming took place mainly in Mexico starting around March 2026, and the film now sits in post-production with an R rating.

Pascal plays Richard Rent, a volatile LAPD detective who falls into a forbidden affair with a boarding-school teacher, played by Danny Ramirez. The pair become targets of the city’s political machine and flee to the Pacific coast jungles of Mexico, where the romance only grows hotter. Described as a s******* frank q**** love story with noir echoes of Chinatown, the film has Ramirez praising the on-screen chemistry with Pascal, which is promising for a story built on it.
As De Noche waits for a date, the largest film on the list is parked at the very end of 2027.
Avengers: Secret Wars
This finale lands on December 17, 2027, with the Russos directing again and Kevin Feige producing. It closes the Multiverse Saga and is expected to draw from the classic and 2015 comic storylines, with Battleworld-style chaos and a major restructuring of the MCU. Plot details remain tightly sealed, which is how studios politely say keep guessing.
Pedro Pascal is confirmed to return as Reed Richards, and the full Fantastic Four is expected to play a significant role, with some reports even pointing to Franklin Richards. The cast should overlap heavily with Avengers: Doomsday, including Robert Downey Jr., Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Anthony Mackie, and Florence Pugh, plus a wider ensemble of legacy and multiversal characters. Final rosters will firm up closer to release, since who survives Avengers: Doomsday decides who shows up here. Pascal, meanwhile, already has a seat reserved, and his calendar has no room left for a single day off.
