The Tulsa King’s spin-off is now officially renamed as Frisco King, as per Paramount+. It is also announced that the first season, which consists of 8 episodes, will be written by Tulsa King creator Taylor Sheridan. While the protagonist of the show is still Russell Lee Washington Jr., played by Samuel L. Jackson, there are quite a few other changes.
Initially, the show and production were set to be in New Orleans, which is the hometown of Jackson’s character, who appeared in season 3 of Tulsa King. After being ordered to finish off Dwight, Jackson’s character arrives in Tulsa, but inspired by his ally’s empire, sets out to build one of his own.
