First of all, hit play on Predator (1987) again, because this is the origin of the franchise that has now become significant in sci-fi history. The movie, which was directed by John McTiernan, stars Arnold Schwarzenegger as Dutch, in command of a special forces unit that is being hunted by an imperceptible alien in the jungle. It laid down the predator’s rules, its technology of hiding, and the dreadful feeling of being stalked by an entity that is stronger and smarter. Next up is Predator 2 (1990), which relocates the chase into the city of Los Angeles, where Lieutenant Michael Harrigan, played by Danny Glover, comes directly into the conflict with the alien.
In addition, watch Alien (1979) and Aliens (1986) to strengthen the sci-fi muscles, as they lay the foundation for the Alien mythology with its corporations, androids, and synthetic beings, which have a crossover connection with the wider Predator universe. Meanwhile, Dan Trachtenberg's Prey (2022), the prequel that rejuvenated the franchise, cannot be skipped. With the portrayal of a Comanche fighter getting the better of a predator in the wild west way before the existence of skyscrapers and modern equipment, it expanded the lore. Shane Black's The Predator (2018), which brings a genetically upgraded predator into the mix, also makes the list of warm-ups before Predator: Badlands is unleashed.
A feast for sci-fi lovers is about to arrive as Predator: Badlands not only packs in action but also delicate intricacies, no one would have expected.
What to expect from Predator: Badlands?
