Keeping up with Marvel's future film schedule could be challenging because there is a lot to take in. In recent times, a lot of interesting developments have been happening in the MCU, and the introduction of the multiverse has opened the floodgates to a plethora of storylines to finally get a shot at a live-action reimagination. However, the recent Hall H presentation by Marvel at the San Diego Comic Con has made things easier for Marvel fans. The event has streamlined the list of Marvel movies we are going to see on the big screen in the next two years.

Probably the biggest MCU project right now, Avengers: Doomsday is a desperate attempt by Marvel to keep its most celebrated franchise alive after the whole Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. As the directors of Doomsday, the Russo brothers reentered the MCU and reunited the old group. Marvel fans are eagerly anticipating December 18, 2026, as a whole bunch of Marvel characters are going to be seen together on the big screen, which makes things feel significant once more.

Marvel’s next release after this is also going to be an Avengers venture, the definitive film of Phase 6.

After a whole year of Avengers: Doomsday’s release on December 17, 2027, Marvel will finally reveal what all their endeavors in the recent few years had been leading up to. Ryan Coogler's return to direct a third Black Panther film was confirmed at San Diego Comic Con 2026. As the new Black Panther, British actor David Jonsson (Industry, Alien: Romulus, The Long Walk) will portray T'Challa and Nakia's grown son. The movie is slated for December 15, 2028.

Another generational casting for an iconic role is waiting to be unleashed in 2028.

The San Diego Comic Con also revealed the biggest casting of the MCU after Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom. Marvel has roped in Ryan Gosling to play Ghost Rider in the MCU. The rumors were rampant in the days leading up to the announcement, and when the day finally came to pass, fans could not contain their excitement at the prospect of seeing the Project Hail Mary star taking up Nicolas Cage’s iconic character and making it his own. The movie is expected to release somewhere in 2028.

The MCU slate for the coming two years seems not so busy, with only four confirmed theatrical releases so far. This is mainly because the top brass is more concerned with the quality of the movies rather than quantity, so this might become the norm for Marvel Studios going forward. Still, the slate looks dazzling and teeming with possibilities.
