The biggest surprise for The Pitt’s fans was the show’s renewal for Season 3, which was announced during The Pitt Season 2 premiere at the DGA Theater in Los Angeles. And the cast is even back to filming Season 3 of the show. During the Golden Globes awards event, Noah Wyle, who plays Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch in the show, revealed that they are shooting for the next installment.
“We're still shooting. I got to be there tomorrow morning,” he told the host.
The night saw The Pitt team see Noah Wyle win the Golden Globes for Best Male Actor in a Television Series – Drama, and the series win the Best Television Series – Drama. And this led the host to ask what the call time was for the entire cast, especially since they were supposed to head back to filming the very next day. And while responding to the question, Wyle dropped a hint that Season 3 is going to be quite intense.
“We were given a little bit of a later crew call tomorrow, but it's big day. We got a tricky delivery to pull off, so I have a couple drinks and then go in there and get that baby,” he said.
As of now, there are enough hints for Season 3. Now that Season 2 has already premiered, does it live up to fans' expectations?
The Pitt Season 2 is full of chaos
After impressing fans with the first season of The Pitt through its near-realistic emergency cases and an honest portrayal of the struggles of the health care workers, it is back for Season 2. And this new season picks up 10 months after the timeline of Season 1 and takes place on the 4th of July. The date seems to be quite important too, since Noah Wyle earlier mentioned that they wanted a busy shift for the fictional crew in the medical trauma center.
“We wanted to explore all the different ways Americans can hurt themselves while they celebrate their independence,” he told CNN.

Just as he hinted, Season 2 seems to be quite complicated, along with the tension between him and Dr. Baran Al-Hashimi due to different leadership styles. And if Episode 1 is any indication, things will only get even more tricky in the other episodes ahead. The second and third episodes of the show will drop on January 15 and 22, respectively.
