Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. technically holds the distinction of being the first MCU television show, arriving on ABC in 2013, years before WandaVision launched Marvel Studios’ Disney+ era. Across seven seasons and 136 episodes, the series built a loyal audience around characters such as Daisy Johnson.

Chloe Bennet spent much of her career playing the hero, watching Daisy evolve from a hacker into a powerful S.H.I.E.L.D. operative. Years after the show ended.

Bennet still wishes Marvel would give its legacy a clearer place in MCU canon.

Chloe Bennet addressed her potential return as Daisy Johnson during a recent interview with Elle, reflecting on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s pioneering role in MCU television.

"We were the first MCU TV show, and we did 130-something hour-long episodes. We spent a lot of time in people's homes, and I spent a lot of my life playing this character and this young woman growing into her power," Bennet stated. She also expressed a deep personal connection to the character she portrayed across seven transformative seasons.

"I'm obsessed with Daisy. I feel like I am Daisy. I would be so protective of her. I'm still low-key angry that they don't fully acknowledge this as canon — the real followers will understand that," she revealed to Elle. The finally actress acknowledged personal growth during her time away from the role would inform any potential return.

"There's a lot of symbolism in that, especially looking back now. I would love to play her with the growth that I've had since I've had a break from the role," Bennet explained, suggesting maturity and life experience would enhance her portrayal of the beloved character.

And while Bennet remains ready to revisit Daisy, a recent Marvel project is generating its own wave of speculation.

Marvel Studios is bringing Avengers: Endgame back to theaters as Avengers: Endgame: Encore, featuring 4 minutes of new footage, a new post-credits scene, and an exclusive look at Avengers: Doomsday. The re-release is scheduled to arrive ahead of the December release of Doomsday.

Online speculation has attached several rumored details to that additional material, including claims of a first meeting between Doctor Doom and Bruce Banner's Hulk. Those reports remain unverified, so they should be treated as leaks rather than confirmed MCU developments.

The official information confirms that Marvel is using the theatrical return of Avengers: Endgame to provide new material connected to Avengers: Doomsday. Robert Downey Jr. will portray Victor von Doom in the upcoming film, which is directed by Joe and Anthony Russo.
