Hollywood's yearbooks are apparently secret crossover events waiting for their own Avengers-style trailers. Cameron Diaz and Snoop Dogg shared the halls of Long Beach Polytechnic, while Jada Pinkett Smith and Tupac Shakur attended Baltimore School for the Arts. Now another unlikely classroom pairing has surfaced, straight from Philadelphia's Overbrook High.
Before Oscar nominations, superhero-sized paychecks, and red carpets, Colman Domingo and Will Smith occupied the same school corridors.

Explaining that Smith who was one year above him was the most popular kid in high school and a local rapper with DJ Jazzy Jeff before even graduating.
"We were never friends," Domingo said, describing Smith as "the cool kid" while he identified as "the nerd" who didn't attend the shows where all the cool kids went to see Smith perform.
The two didn't cross paths again until years later, when Domingo was working as a waiter at El Torito restaurant in Philadelphia after Smith had already found success in music and acting. Smith didn't recognize Domingo at first, but once his memory was jogged, the two hugged and parted ways.
And Domingo's next potential reunion involves a very different kind of famous family.

Studio executive Adam Fogelson later indicated filming could begin in late 2026 or early 2027, targeting a possible release between late 2027 and mid-2028. California has awarded the project $30.8 million in tax incentives. Somebody at the studio clearly believes this franchise has another moonwalk left.
But Domingo's return remains uncertain. Speaking with Vanity Fair in September, he explained that no offer had reached him. He also questioned which parts of Jackson's life a sequel would explore. The original stops before the first s***** abuse allegations, and any continuation would have difficult material to confront.
