Walton Goggins has captivated viewers in The White Lotus and Justified, proving his range as a charismatic lead. Chloë Grace Moretz gained fame as the fearless Hit-Girl in Kick-A-- and starred in the sci-fi thriller The Peripheral. Together, they bring a wealth of experience from both blockbuster franchises and critically acclaimed television dramas.  

This unexpected duo will soon navigate a lethal gauntlet where the line between relatives and rivals becomes dangerously thin.

According to Deadline, Walton Goggins has officially joined the cast of the action-comedy Mister as the primary lead alongside co-star Chloë Grace Moretz. The project is a collaboration between Bright White Light and Thunder Road, the prominent studio responsible for the John Wick franchise.

Goggins steps into the role after Josh Brolin was forced to depart the production due to unforeseen scheduling conflicts. The film marks the directorial debut of Wade Eastwood, a renowned second unit director with an impressive resume. His previous work includes massive blockbusters such as Mission: Impossible – Fallout and Jumanji: The Next Level.

With Eastwood's expertise in complex stunts, audiences can expect a visual spectacle that prioritizes practical action and intensity. According to Deadline, production is scheduled to begin next month on location in the vibrant city of Madrid. Black Bear is currently managing international distribution rights, while CAA Media Finance oversees the domestic market.

The narrative focuses on a deadly awakening that forces an unlikely father and daughter reunion.

As mentioned by Deadline, the plot of Mister follows a man portrayed by Walton Goggins who awakens in an unfamiliar residence drenched in b---- and confusion. He soon discovers his true identity while defending himself against a wave of professional assassins from his past. These enemies include former romantic partners and even his closest friends, all seeking to collect a bounty on his head.

To escape this lethal situation, he must form a desperate alliance with his estranged daughter, played by Moretz. She has unexpectedly followed in the footsteps of the family business, proving to be just as dangerous as her father.

The script was penned by Nicki Cortese and Nick Inglis, with an A-list crew including cinematographer Henry Braham. Production designer Nigel Phelps will also lend his talents to create the unique aesthetic of this strange and violent world.
