Marvel has a habit of bringing its dead back, but VisionQuest has a more complicated job. The focus this time is on figuring out what happens when a resurrected Avenger has his memories back and still cannot quite work out who he is. Naturally, his old enemies and a few familiar artificial intelligences have opinions.
With returning Marvel veterans, a new face in the Maximoff family, and several AIs stepping out of the code, the series has assembled quite the ensemble.
Who stars in Marvel’s VisionQuest?
The final chapter in the trilogy that began with WandaVision and continued with Agatha All Along, VisionQuest follows White Vision as he tries to reclaim his humanity while navigating his past. The eight-episode Disney+ series premieres on October 14, 2026, with Paul Bettany and James Spader leading a cast that combines established MCU characters with newcomers.
Paul Bettany as Vision: Bettany returns as the synthezoid whose journey began in Avengers: Age of Ultron and took a devastating turn in Avengers: Infinity War. After WandaVision restored his memories, Vision must now work out how to live with them. Bettany has played the character for over a decade, first voicing J.A.R.V.I.S. before becoming Vision himself.
James Spader as Ultron: The Blacklist star reprises his role as the murderous artificial intelligence introduced in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Ultron’s return puts Vision’s complicated origins back in the picture, with Spader bringing his signature voice and calculating menace to Marvel’s AI antagonist.

Orla Brady as Friday: Brady, known for Star Trek: Picard, plays F.R.I.D.A.Y., Tony Stark’s AI assistant. Previously voiced by Kerry Condon in the MCU, the character now appears in human form among the AI personas inhabiting Vision’s mind.
Emily Hampshire as E.D.I.T.H.: Best known as Stevie Budd in Schitt’s Creek, Hampshire plays E.D.I.T.H., the AI system introduced in Spider-Man: Far From Home. Another of Stark’s creations, she becomes part of Vision’s increasingly crowded internal world.
James D’Arcy as J.A.R.V.I.S.: D’Arcy returns to Marvel after playing human butler Edwin Jarvis in Agent Carter and other MCU projects. This time, he portrays the AI inspired by that character: the same assistant Bettany voiced before becoming Vision.
Ruaridh Mollica as Tommy Maximoff/Thomas Shepherd: Mollica, whose credits include The Spanish Princess, takes on the grown-up Tommy, Wanda and Vision’s son, also known as Speed in Marvel Comics. His connection to Vision could make him more than a mysterious teenager caught up in the android’s troubles.
T’Nia Miller as Jocasta: Miller, recognised for The Haunting of Bly Manor and Years and Years, plays Jocasta, an artificial intelligence with deep roots in Marvel’s comics. Her arrival expands the series’ roster of synthetic beings.
Todd Stashwick as Paladin: Stashwick reunites with showrunner Terry Matalas after 12 Monkeys and Star Trek: Picard. He plays Paladin, a bounty hunter pursuing Vision, giving the fugitive Avenger a very physical problem to contend with.
Henry Lewis as D.U.M.-E: Lewis, a member of British comedy troupe Mischief, plays D.U.M.-E, the robotic arm seen in earlier MCU films. Its presence adds another familiar Stark creation to the ensemble.
Jonathan Sayer as U: Another Mischief performer, Sayer plays U, the companion robot previously glimpsed in Marvel’s Iron Man stories.
Diane Morgan: The Cunk on Earth comedian joins the cast in a role connected to Paladin.

Lauren Morais as Lisa Molinari: Morais plays Lisa, one of the series’ new characters, joining the ensemble as Vision’s search for identity draws in people beyond his familiar MCU circle.
Mary McDonnell: The Battlestar Galactica and Major Crimes actor appears in the series, though her character details remain limited in the available cast listings.
Faran Tahir: Tahir reprises Raza, the Ten Rings leader he played in the original Iron Man (2008), reconnecting VisionQuest with one of the MCU’s earliest chapters.
Polly Frame: Frame also joins the ensemble in a recurring role, with IMDb listing her for six episodes.

With Vision, Ultron, multiple Stark AIs, a bounty hunter and Tommy Maximoff sharing the screen, VisionQuest is hardly short on company. The real question is whether Vision can make sense of himself amid all the voices in his head, and whether Marvel can make this family reunion feel like more than a very elaborate software update.
