Vincent D’Onofrio Endorses His 'Daredevil: Born Again' Co-Star for James Bond
With the James Bond franchise in the hands of Amazon, there has been some serious spy recruiting underway. As it promises a new era of the spy, who could be the next 007 after Daniel Craig? It seems some advice from a Marvel villain could be useful. Vincent D'Onofrio, who plays Kingpin in Daredevil: Born Again, recently named his co-star as the perfect choice for James Bond.
And he is not the only one rooting for the Marvel villain to become the next spy in the movies.

Amid ongoing speculation about who can portray James Bond, an X user, AlyxInWnderland, claimed Arty Froushan can be considered the best pick for 007. Many agreed with the user’s pick, Froushan, pointing out his British accent and mannerisms. Among those supporting the choice is also Vincent D'Onofrio.
“I agree,” he commented on it.
AlyxInWnderland’s post had a picture of Froushan holding a gun alongside another of Daniel Craig in a similar pose, which was meant to compare the two actors. Although not as famous as Craig, Froushan is well known as Ser Qarl Correy in House of the Dragon season 1 and Coward in Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale. He also played the role of Buck in Daredevil: Born Again.
While Froushan could be a perfect fit for the role, he has some competition. Henry Cavill, James McAvoy, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Harris Dickinson, Theo James, and Idris Elba are also in the conversation. The next James Bond remains a secret until Amazon shares any update.
Until then, the fandom will continue to look back at the previous era much like former James Bond did after the franchise went to Amazon.
Former James Bond actor reflected on James Bond’s previous creative era
After Cubby Broccoli, his daughter Barbara Broccoli, and stepson Michael G. Wilson held the creative control over the franchise owned by MGM Studios through their company Eon Productions. Later, the studio was acquired by Amazon in 2022, which also followed Broccoli and Wilson’s exit in 2025 to focus on personal projects. The move came as both shocking and surprising to former James Bond actor Timothy Dalton, who had worked closely with Cubby Broccoli.
“He was a very powerful and strong anchor for the project. Nothing went on that he didn’t want, and it’s sad that he’s not with us anymore, that’s all I can say. He was well in charge of the show, and that’s not so anymore,” Dalton told Radio Times.

Dalton also explained that despite several changes over the years, the original films have a unique charm, and expressed his hope that Amazon can recreate it. Meanwhile, after the deal, Daniel Craig, who was the face of James Bond for nearly a decade, starring in five films, also shared his deep appreciation for Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson. As for the next James Bond, the search by Amazon is still underway.
