Days after Matthew Perry was laid to rest

VH1 to Remember ‘Friends’ Star Matthew Perry Days After His Unfortunate Demise

“We Swallow Our Feelings, Even If It Means We’re Unhappy Forever.” This iconic
line by Chandler Bing from Friends summarized Matthew Perry in ways that are
better left unsaid. Gulping down his battles with addiction, the actor swayed
generations of audiences with smiles and moments that still stay etched. In his
sudden demise that shocked and pained millions of hearts last week, the timeless
wise-cracking gem was bestowed with countless tributes and mentions from fans,
critics, and co-stars, that reached nearly everyone across all walks of life.

The latest to honor the departed soul is VH1 and Entertainment Tonight.
Differing from the already made statements of condolences, plans are afoot with
exclusives and more to befall on the screens.

Additionally, trivia, memories, and talks about unheard as well as known moments

The massively popular star had a fair share of struggles that also reared their
teeth on Friends.

THE ONE WHERE THE ACTOR’S STRUGGLES WITH HIS HEALTH MADE ITS WAY ONTO FRIENDS

In the ten years that the show aired, Matthew Perry inscribed himself
prominently into fans’ hearts. The actor with his many-a-time improvised
one-liners forever embedded Chandler Bing into pop culture. However, just as the
show was about to enter its season two, the actor’s struggles were gaining
prominence. Battling alcohol addiction, Perry also fell prey to opioids after a
1997 jet-ski accident.

The actor found himself in the hospital for two weeks in 2000 for
alcohol-related pancreatitis. The resulting diagnosis made him shed 20 pounds in
weight, hence his frail appearance at season seven’s premiere. Throughout the
show, his weight oscillated between 128 and 225 pounds. Well aware of it, the
Friends cast was unanimous on Perry’s recovery. Their quest for the same bore
fruit as the actor was en route to sobriety

up until his demise.
