Valkyrie Tessa Thompson Makes Bold Wish for Marvel Future

Over the years, Marvel has made people fall in love with Aliens, gods, webslingers, and mutants. Be it Peter Parker or Groot, these characters have become the heart and power of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While new characters have continued to join the family, there might be a need for someone more experienced and perhaps a bit older, as Tessa Thompson believes.

Thompson, who played Valkyrie in Thor: Ragnarok, made a demand for the MCU while she advocated for Moving On actress.

Tessa Thompson recently appeared in a stunning black dress for the Independent Spirit Awards. During her interview with Variety, she was asked about Marvel movies and about her being part of the MCU when she turns 80. That is when Thompson jokingly urged a change.

“We need 80-year-olds in Marvel movies,” she said. 

“I would love to see Jane Fonda in a Marvel movie,”  She further added.

At 42, Thompson still has plenty of time before she reaches 80, yet her suggestion is undeniably intriguing. Jane Fonda, known for her remarkable versatility across decades, seems like a perfect fit to make a Marvel appearance. While these comparisons are playful, there is no official confirmation or rumors.

Moreover, both actresses are fully immersed in their careers. Fonda had a demanding film schedule, whereas Thompson recently starred in Netflix’s His & Hers. While the psychological drama garnered much attention for its intriguing narrative and characters, Thompson has spoken candidly about the characters in the series.

Tessa Thompson plays the role of Anna as she investigates the murders of her former high school friends in the psychological drama His & Hers. The end reveals that the murderer was Anna’s mother, Alice, as this group of friends was the one who had planned to film her being se------ assaulted on her 16th birthday. Speaking of the character, Thompson shared her take.

“Obviously, what she does is motivated by a mother’s love,” Thompson said in an interview with Rolling Stone.

The series shows several different emotions, and the murder mystery that quickly became a fan favorite on Netflix. And this is one of the many masterpieces that Thomas has starred in. And much like her character on His & Hers, she also has quite bold ideas for the MCU. But whether there will be more diverse and unexpected characters in the MCU or not remains to be seen.
