"I would say for us, a better-financed streamer, a competitive streamer, will be better for us," Jon Feltheimer stated during Lionsgate’s quarterly earnings call (transcript via Investing.com). Lionsgate views both entities as key distribution partners rather than purely direct theatrical competitors. The company confirmed that it already successfully licensed a new television series to the combined group despite ongoing regulatory reviews.

Fogelson strongly favours finalizing the transaction without further delay.
