Tyler Cameron and fiancée Tate Madden are expecting their first baby, and the news arrived live on Dancing with the Stars. The Bachelor star stepped onto the ballroom floor with a routine to perform and a secret only a small circle knew. Judges had scores to give, yet the biggest moment had nothing to do with technique. Some news needs a spotlight, and this one got a bright one.

While the judges waited to score a dance, Cameron was about to earn a title no mirrorball trophy could match.

Tyler Cameron and Tate Madden are expecting a baby girl, and the pair found out live on air. Cameron and Sharna Burgess performed a contemporary routine to Ed Sheeran’s 'Supermarket Flowers,' dedicated to mothers everywhere.

“I get to be a girl dad. What a gift, what an opportunity,” Cameron shared the news during Dancing with the Stars’ Dedication Night episode on Tuesday, Oct. 22.

He later told PEOPLE, “It’s going to change everything in our lives.”

Madden told PEOPLE she took the pregnancy test the night the couple returned from getting engaged. They soon moved to Los Angeles for Cameron’s run on season 35, and rehearsals kept him away from the ultrasound. Madden later carried a picture of it to New York City, and that image made everything real for him. Keeping quiet was deliberate, since the couple hoped Cameron would reach Dedication Night, where his dance also honored his late mother, Andrea, who died in March 2020.

While Cameron waltzes off with happy news, another reality favorite wants back on the same floor, tears and all.

Kim Kardashian says she would happily return to Dancing with the Stars, 18 years after her only season. She competed on season seven in 2008 with partner Mark Ballas and exited in 11th place. On Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Thursday, Kardashian admitted she was unsure whether the show invites returnees, and host Jimmy Kimmel assured her that it would. The series has run 35 seasons with only one All-Stars edition, won by Melissa Rycroft in 2012.

Kardashian cried in her trailer every night during that run, praying to be eliminated, and has not danced since. At a family poker night three weeks ago, Kylie Jenner screened the old routine on a big screen. Kardashian recalled some moves and pitched her sisters an entire Kardashian-Jenner season, backed by Rob Kardashian, runner-up on season 13. Tyler Cameron and Tate Madden are busy planning a nursery, while Kardashian is waiting on one call from ABC.
