The meteoric rise of young stars like Finn Wolfhard, propelled by hit shows like Stranger Things and movies like IT, opened up a world of possibilities for them. While Jack Dylan Grazer, another rising talent from IT, embraced the superhero spotlight in Shazam!, not every young actor saw themselves donning capes and masks. Wolfhard once quipped that he would not mind playing the role of "Guy on Computer" in the background of a Marvel movie.

However, the tides have shifted, and Wolfhard's view on Marvel movies underwent a dramatic transformation. Initially indifferent, he now sees the superhero universe in a new light.

Once enthusiastic about joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Finn Wolfhard has now had a change of heart. In a recent Vanity Fair video, Wolfhard underwent a lie detector test where he candidly addressed his previous interest in MCU involvement. Admitting that he had once aspired to join Marvel's ranks, he also confessed to no longer harboring such ambitions. When probed about his declining interest in the MCU, Wolfhard affirmed that his waning enthusiasm was indeed due to the perception that "MCU films have been mid recently."

During the test, Wolfhard humorously denied soliciting his Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire co-star Paul Rudd's help in securing a role at Marvel Studios. When asked if his disinterest stemmed from finding recent MCU films lackluster, Wolfhard confirmed, with the lie detector verifying his honesty. Despite his evolving stance, Wolfhard remains a fixture in franchise cinema, having made his mark in Ghostbusters and IT movies, as well as voicing characters in animated features.
