New York has always been a city where stories don’t just exist. They collide, evolve, and find new meaning, and the Tribeca Film Festival sits right at the center of that energy. Founded in 2002 by Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal, and Craig Hatkoff in the wake of 9/11, it has grown into one of the most influential cultural gatherings in the world. Cinema, storytelling, and innovation all meet in Lower Manhattan, drawing Hollywood A-listers, Oscar-winning filmmakers, fearless indie creators, and rising voices across film, television, documentaries, podcasts, and immersive media.

Tribeca Film Festival is more than premieres and red carpets. It is a creative crossroads where established and emerging artists share the same space, shaping conversations that travel far beyond the festival itself. And to understand how it will unfold this year, let’s dive into its dates, location, schedule, and how audiences can be part of it.

The 2026 Tribeca Film Festival will take place over 12 consecutive days, from Wednesday, June 3 to Sunday, June 14, 2026, in New York City. This specific early-to-mid-June timeframe is chosen annually to make the most of the season, especially for outdoor activations and waterfront venues like Pier 57, which shine during the early summer stretch.

The festival schedule will officially kick off on the evening of June 3 with the Opening Night gala, setting the tone for nearly two weeks of nonstop programming. From there, film screenings, industry panels, and interactive exhibits will run each day continuously until closing night on June 14, creating a constant flow of events across the city.

Because the festival will celebrate its milestone 25th anniversary in 2026, the full 12-day block will be especially packed, featuring 118 feature films, 86 shorts, and multi-day exhibitions. Among these, the Tribeca Games Gallery will run as a standout attraction during the final five days, from June 10 to June 14, adding an immersive gaming and interactive storytelling layer to the festival’s closing stretch.

Tribeca Film Festival 2026 venues in New York City

The 2026 Tribeca Film Festival venues will be spread across some of New York City’s most active cultural hubs, with the core of the festival centered in downtown Manhattan and select flagship events reaching into other iconic neighborhoods. At the heart of it all, the OKX Theater at BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center, 199 Chambers Street, Tribeca, will anchor many of the festival’s biggest moments, hosting marquee narrative premieres, large-scale retrospectives, and major television anniversary panels in the middle of Tribeca.

Just a short distance away at 375 Greenwich Street, the Tribeca Film Center will function as the festival’s official executive headquarters, where industry networking sessions, filmmaker registrations, and behind-the-scenes meetings will quietly shape the business side of the event. Moving uptown into Chelsea, the SVA Theatre, 333 West 23rd Street, will screen a large portion of the official film lineup, especially the spotlight documentaries and key festival selections, while the nearby Gladstone Gallery, 515 West 24th Street, will present more experimental cinematic installations and visual storytelling showcases.

Across the city, the energy will continue in different forms. In the Flatiron District, AMC 19th St. East 6, 890 Broadway, will host public screenings, international features, and digital creator showcases, while the historic Village East by Angelika, 181 2nd Avenue, East Village, will lean into independent cinema, short film programs, and midnight screenings. Meanwhile, festival operations, press coverage, red carpets, and VIP activity will be centered at Spring Studios, 50 Varick Street, Tribeca, keeping the industry heartbeat of the festival close to its downtown core.

The festival will also stretch toward the waterfront at Pier 57 in Hudson River Park, 25 11th Avenue, where immersive storytelling takes over through the Tribeca Games Gallery and interactive audio-visual exhibitions. Finally, the experience will extend up to the Upper West Side at the iconic Beacon Theatre, 2124 Broadway, which will host major, high-profile events such as the Opening Night gala premiere, bringing the festival’s biggest spotlight moments into one of New York’s most legendary venues.

Tickets and Passes for Tribeca Film Festival 2026

To attend the 2026 Tribeca Film Festival, admission is accessed through the official Tribeca Tickets & Passes Portal, with options depending on budget and viewing preferences. The premium Hudson Pass offers broad access to evening and weekend screenings, panels, and designated lounge areas, allowing attendees to move through the festival without booking individual events separately.

For a more flexible approach, Ticket Packages are available in bundles of 8, 16, or 24, allowing advance seat reservations before general release. Alternatively, Single Tickets can be purchased for individual screenings, including matinees, short film programs, and independent features. High-profile events such as the Opening Night gala at the Beacon Theatre and select celebrity-led panels require separate Gala Tickets due to limited availability and high demand.

After securing passes or tickets, attendees log into their festival accounts to select specific screenings, including dates, times, and venues, or browse the live Tribeca schedule to book directly from individual film listings. Since the system is fully digital, the official Tribeca Festival mobile app is required to display entry barcodes at venue entrances.

On the day of each screening, arrival 30 to 45 minutes early is generally recommended due to security lines and crowd flow. Any unclaimed seats are typically released to the standby line around 15 minutes before the screening begins, depending on venue capacity and demand.
