'Treasure Island' Cast: Who Plays Who in the Robert Louis Stevenson Adaptation

Pirates have long caught the imagination of people living far from the sea, inspiring countless stories of adventure, danger, and treasure. One such story of pirates, perilous missions across the seas, and drama is at the heart of the new thriller series, Treasure Island. Based on the famous novel of the same name by Robert Louis Stevenson, the series follows two adventurers in search of hidden treasure.

And for this hunt for precious treasure, the Paramount+ show has brought together some of the entertainment industry’s finest talents. A star-studded cast is set to lead the series. So, here is a look at the cast ahead of the show’s arrival.

Tom Sweet as Jim Hawkins: Tom Sweet is well known for his role in Great Expectations and The Childhood of a Leader.

David Oyelowo as Long John Silver: David Oyelowo is a British actor and director. He previously appeared in Nightingale, Captive, and Five Nights in Maine 

Hayley Atwell as Bess Hawkins: She is well known as Peggy Carter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The actress will also appear in Avengers: Doomsday.

Jack Huston as Aaron Graham: Jack Huston is well known for his roles in Boardwalk Empire.

Neil Pendleton as Mr Cameron: Neil Pendleton has appeared in Tommy's Honour.

Tomer Capone as Billy Bones 

Tristan Sturrock (Poldark) as Captain Smollett

The series follows Jim Hawkins and his mother, Bess, after they discover Captain Flint’s mysterious treasure map. Their hunt takes the mother and son duo aboard the Hispaniola. The two meet the ambitious and cunning Long John Silver and his crew on their journey. And as it turns out, Silver is also after the same treasure.

With the cast confirmed, the thriller series Treasure Island also has a release date now.

When will Treasure Island arrive on screen?

Treasure Island will be released on MGM+ in the U.S. on October 11, 2026. The same episode will be available to stream on Paramount+ in the UK and Ireland the following day. The remaining episodes will then be released weekly. Created by Robert Murphy, the show will be directed by Jeremy Lovering, William McGregor, and Paul Walker.

Meanwhile, David Stern, Scott Huff, Colin Callender, Daniel Gratton, Robert Murphy, and Jeremy Lovering will serve as executive producers. With plenty of action, mystery, and a thrilling treasure hunt, Treasure Island is set to keep fans hooked over the next few weeks. But it remains to be seen if the show can achieve success like some of the other well-known pirate movies.
