More than a decade later, the songwriter and musician has finally decided to open up about his life, heartbreaking struggles, the loss of loved ones, and the difficult battles he has faced along the way. Both the highs and lows of his life and career are chronicled in his new documentary, Travis Barker: Louder Than Fear.

Travis Barker: Louder Than Fear is set to be released on August 13, 2026. The documentary will be available to stream on Hulu. Those who do not have a Hulu subscription can also watch the film by subscribing to a Disney+ bundle that includes Hulu.

The documentary focuses on the early life of the musician Travis Barker and how he joined the band Blink-182. He initially joined the band as a replacement drummer and slowly built his career. The documentary also turns the focus to some of the tough years of his life when he struggled with addiction.
His wife, Kourtney Kardashian, Blink-182 bandmates Mark Hoppus and Tom DeLonge, and ex-wife Shanna Moakler are featured in the documentary alongside a posthumous appearance by Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins. His children, Landon and Alabama, and stepdaughter Atiana De La Hoya also make an appearance. The documentary also includes the toughest point of his life, when he survived the 2008 plane crash.
The songwriter suffered several injuries during the near-fatal accident.

Back on Sept. 19, 2008, Travis Barker and his friend Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein decided to travel back to Los Angeles together after performing in Columbia, S.C. The two boarded a private jet with four other passengers, despite Barker’s fear of flying in small planes. Before getting on the plane, Barker had even called his father to talk about his fears and feelings.

Barker sustained third-degree burns on 65% of his body and underwent 27 surgeries. He underwent a lengthy recovery following the accident but died 13 years later. While Barker often appeared on The Kardashians with his wife, this time in his own documentary, he will open up about his life, career, as well as the traumatic incident that changed his life.
