The documentary focuses on the early life of the musician Travis Barker and how he joined the band Blink-182. He initially joined the band as a replacement drummer and slowly built his career. The documentary also turns the focus to some of the tough years of his life when he struggled with addiction.

His wife, Kourtney Kardashian, Blink-182 bandmates Mark Hoppus and Tom DeLonge, and ex-wife Shanna Moakler are featured in the documentary alongside a posthumous appearance by Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins. His children, Landon and Alabama, and stepdaughter Atiana De La Hoya also make an appearance. The documentary also includes the toughest point of his life, when he survived the 2008 plane crash.

Back on Sept. 19, 2008, Travis Barker and his friend Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein decided to travel back to Los Angeles together after performing in Columbia, S.C. The two boarded a private jet with four other passengers, despite Barker’s fear of flying in small planes. Before getting on the plane, Barker had even called his father to talk about his fears and feelings.
