Following the rush for premium The Odyssey tickets last week, Tom Holland and Letterboxd have now found another way to fuel the excitement. In a recently released promotional video, the actor revealed that fans will soon be able to track and share every format in which they watch the film through a brand-new digital punch card. Describing it as a first for the platform, Holland teased that moviegoers will be able to log all their watches and rewatches across different formats, with “bragging rights” very much part of the experience.

“For the first time ever on Letterboxd, you’ll be able to track and share the way you experience the film with a brand new digital punch card,” Holland said in a video posted by Letterboxd.

The challenge arrives as anticipation for Christopher Nolan’s adaptation of Homer’s legendary epic continues to skyrocket. Led by Matt Damon as Odysseus and featuring a star-studded ensemble that includes Tom Holland, Zendaya, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o, Charlize Theron, Mia Goth, and Benny Safdie, the film is already being positioned as one of 2026’s biggest cinematic events.

Adding to the hype is Nolan’s commitment to large-format filmmaking, with The Odyssey becoming the first feature shot entirely on IMAX cameras. From 70mm IMAX and traditional film screenings to Dolby Vision and premium large-format presentations, audiences will have no shortage of ways to experience the epic, assuming they can still get a seat.

Of course, the excitement surrounding The Odyssey goes far beyond viewing formats. After all, Christopher Nolan is taking on one of the most celebrated stories ever written, a tale that has captivated audiences for nearly 3,000 years.

Christopher Nolan takes on one of history’s greatest epics

For nearly 3,000 years, The Odyssey has stood as one of the greatest adventure stories ever told. The epic follows Odysseus, the King of Ithaca, as he battles monsters, angry gods, shipwrecks, and impossible odds during his ten-year journey home after the Trojan War. Now, Christopher Nolan is bringing Homer’s legendary tale to the big screen when The Odyssey sails into theatres on July 17, 2026.

Serving as Nolan’s first film since the Oscar-winning Oppenheimer, the project carries a reported $250 million budget, making it the most expensive production of his career and potentially the priciest R-rated film ever made. It also continues the filmmaker’s famous three-year streak, following Dunkirk (2017), Tenet (2020), and Oppenheimer (2023). If the pattern holds, Nolan’s next cinematic obsession could arrive as early as summer 2029.

With premium tickets already disappearing and new viewing challenges emerging months before release, The Odyssey is shaping up to be far more than just another blockbuster.
