Like a master builder arranging tiny bricks into grand castles, Tom Holland has always approached life as if it were a set waiting to be assembled. Between swinging through skylines as Spider-Man and piecing together new roles, Holland juggles more than scripts and costumes. His latest appearance comes not with a spandex suit, but with LEGO bricks and play. And, like a LEGO puzzle, he reveals how unique challenges shape stronger structures than anyone might expect.

Just as Spider-Man leaps from rooftops to city streets, Tom Holland’s candor vaults from entertainment into inspiration with a single, revealing admission.

Tom Holland’s appearance in the LEGO "Never Stop Playing" campaign has revealed a bit of information to the audience that makes no difference, but only increases the awe for the actor. The Spider-Man: No Way Home star revealed in an interview with IGN, upon being asked what he thinks of maintaining the activity of 'play' in adult life- "I think it really does help," especially since "I have ADHD and I'm dyslexic,..I find sometimes when someone gives me a blank canvas that it can be slightly intimidating". Holland asserted that maintaining the friction of play is an interaction that compels one to be creative and, hence, always driven in that aspect.

LEGO, Holland reminisces in the IGN interview, was more than a childhood obsession that has led him to this day—it was a tool for focusing his scattered energy into spectacular results. "Interact with something that forces you to be creative and forces you to think outside the box.... just promotes healthy creativity," he shared. These humble plastic bricks, he suggests, helped wire his brain for imaginative problem-solving and even more so to give him some "creative edge" over his brother Harry and Sam Holland. This comes amid a brea from his upcoming Spider-Man project.

Even a superhero’s schedule needs a pit stop—and for Tom Holland, that recharge comes in a world built with plastic bricks, even if it is for an ad.

Spider-Man’s creative pause: LEGO as recharge for Tom Holland

Tom Holland's little block-set detour might have given him the playtime he needed. But Spider-Man's brand new spandex is set out for a brand new day. The blockbuster saga's fourth time, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, has been set for a mid-2026 release. Helmed by director Marc Webb, Holland called the film’s shoot “exhilarating” while talking to AFP as he perched a tank to drive down Glasgow, which has served to be enough fodder for excitement.

What makes Holland so endlessly watchable is not merely his acrobatics in spandex or charming wit on talk shows, but his willingness to peel back the mask. He treats ADHD and dyslexia not as obstacles, but as forces that push him to think outside the box, quite literally, brick by brick. Holland’s journey reminds us that the most unconventional paths often lead to the most remarkable towers. And sometimes, all it takes is a handful of LEGO to see it.
