Hiddleston made a pit stop in The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and coyly responded to the rumors, keeping the cards close to his chest. Hiddleston shared that he was aware of Deadpool 3 being in the making and was “thinking of all the answers” he could give to the theories. The actor then shifted gears and, out of nowhere, started talking about Ryan Reynolds’ football team, Wrexham AFC.

Jimmy Fallon also asked Hiddleston whether Loki’s time-slipping abilities could bring back other Marvel characters in the franchise, touching on the Avengers: Secret Wars connection. To which the 42-year-old replied saying that though Loki’s time-slipping abilities enable him to travel back and forth the loop, he was not sure if “other characters can time-slip. Nevertheless, the numerous clues and potential ties hint at Deadpool 3 and Secret Wars being set up for a significant role in the narrative, even with the absence of Loki, played by Tom Hiddleston.
