It was clear with the slap on the Oscar stage that Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith were not all good. But the former seems more eloquent.

Throwback to When Jada Pinkett Opened Up on “figuring life out” With Will Smith

If we turn back time to just a few years ago, Will Smith
[https://www.netflixjunkie.com/tag/will-smith/] was a globally applauded actor
with a nearly spotless public image. The only ink stains that one noticed on
close inspection were courtesy of Jada Pinkett Smith. Through countless cheating
rumors and infamous statements on her talk show, the actress had become quite a
spectacle in the public eye. That is until her husband decided to solve the
problem once and for all.

Ever since Will Smith made the unfortunate decision to slap Chris Rock on the
Oscar stage, he ensured that his wife never again gets blamed for their
“complicated” marriage. However, this came to bite him back when the audience
decided to turn therapist and research every action that could have led up to
this moment. And the most promising material came from the alleged perpetrator
herself: Jada Pinkett Smith.

JADA PINKETT OPENS UP ON THE TRIALS AND TURBULENCE OF HER MARRIAGE WITH WILL
SMITH

If there is one thing to know about the Set It Off actress is that there is not
a lot she keeps away from the public domain. From discussing her “entanglement”
with her husband to making her daughter write a letter to her alleged ex-lover

no holds barred is an unsaid warning when it comes to her. Therefore, it was no
surprise that she chose the road not taken by Will Smith and talked about the
Oscar incident and her marriage candidly. She confessed that she and her husband
are “figuring life out“.

On the Red Table Talk, Jada Pinkett Smith [https://redtabletalk.com/]did not
sugarcoat any element of what became the slap gate. She maintained that it was a
first for them too and they are taking life as it comes.

That is not the only struggle that Pinkett got real about. Following the Oscar
joke, she has spoken in detail about her alopecia. However, in order to
immortalize her statements and struggles, Jada Pinkett Smith followed her
husband into writing a memoir.

JADA PINKETT SMITH’S UPCOMING MEMOIR

In late 2022, the actress-turned-talk show host announced through Day Street
Books that she will be releasing a memoir. And 51 is not a bad age to write a
memoir. Especially if your husband slapped someone on stage the same year at the
Oscars.

and the Emancipator actor. It is also about her and the rap legend, Tupac
Shakur. And ultimately, it is about her rising above all these ties and
embracing herself.

Meet Aliza Siddiqui, a Hollywood News reporter at Netflix Junkie. Her love affair with Hollywood began with Anne Hathaway and The Princess Diaries, but it was the thrilling climax of Don’t Look Up that cemented her infatuation with the industry and its filmmaking. Aliza's journey into entertainment reporting began with her time at Otakukart, where she wrote over a thousand articles. Her writing style is cheeky and engaging, as seen in her report "Somewhat Alarmed," where she narrates Jimmy Kimmel's hilarious story of how Jason Bateman tricked him into gecko-sitting. Aliza's ultimate dream is to study and critique films that capture her imagination and the attention of movie-goers worldwide. When she is not busy binge-watching Sacha Baron Cohen movies and The Office, she loves to curl up with a weathered copy of a Khaled Hosseini or Indu Sundaresan book.
