Now, the sequel has arrived, and Kidman’s daughter appears thoroughly enchanted by its return to the Owens family.

Nicole Kidman shared her daughter's enthusiastic response to Practical Magic 2, indicating the film has successfully captured the magic that made the first installment so beloved. Speaking to Extra TV at the sequel’s premiere, she revealed.

“My 15-year-old has seen this one three times already so that’s kind of good and she wants to see it again.” Her daughter’s enthusiasm offers an interesting glimpse at how Practical Magic 2 is connecting with younger viewers who were not around when the original premiered in 1998.

Sandra Bullock also told Extra TV that she invited her son and his friends to watch the movie, asking them to offer a young male perspective. Their reactions reportedly surprised her, with Bullock describing their answers as “profound.” The actress explained that the teenagers even predicted elements that appear in Alice Hoffman’s source material.

Bullock pointed out that Hoffman’s The Book of Magic contains enough material to support multiple stories, saying.

“You can make three movies out of it.” That comment naturally opens the door to another adventure for Sally and Gillian Owens. The sequel has given fans another chance to reconnect with the sisters, while the depth of Hoffman’s novel leaves plenty of magical territory unexplored.

The detail added another amusing layer to their conversation about magic. When asked about her favorite spells, Kidman immediately chose love spells. She then revealed a personal ritual involving people who upset her. Kidman said she writes their names down and puts them in the freezer, explaining that her mother used a similar practice.

Hawley confirmed that the family believes the person being “iced out” can feel it, although they never tell them about the ritual. Bullock could only laugh at the revelation. With Kidman’s daughter already demanding another viewing and Bullock highlighting the depth of Hoffman’s story, hopes for a third Practical Magic adventure are understandable.
