Molly Ringwald's experience working on the sets of The Secret Life of the American Teenager was torpedoed by a single toxic co-star. Sometimes on movie sets, things do not go as expected. With a lot of people coming together for a single project, things are bound to go a little out of hand: disagreements happen, personalities collide, and sometimes insecurity gets in the way. 

All is never hunky-dory during a production of a film, and what Molly Ringwald recently revealed further bolsters this notion.

The Sixteen Candles actress Molly Ringwald appeared on the August 4 episode of Andy Cohen's Bravo talk show Watch What Happens Live, which is renowned for asking candid questions of famous guests during games. Cohen requested that Ringwald rate some of her previous work on a scale of 1 to 10 based on her experience during a round of "Spill the IMDB Tea." 

The drama series, The Secret Life of an American Teenager, which starred Shailene Woodley as Ringwald's character's pregnant teenage daughter, was ranked lowest. When asked about the reason behind her pick, she said it was hard and then went on to pinpoint the exact pain point in that filming experience.

“OK, I love the cast. I love Shailene [Woodley]. There was one person that was really difficult. And I’m not gonna say who that one person is, [but] they brought it down to a one,” the veteran actress explained.

Ringwald was a regular in the first four seasons of The Secret Life of an American Teenager, which aired from 2008 to 2013, and a special guest star in the fifth and last season. The show also starred Steve Schirripa, Greg Finley, India Eisley, Ken Baumann, and Mark Derwin. The curiosity remains about the name that Ringwald purposefully did not take on the talk show.

Anyway, the talk show also gave her the chance to talk about a pleasant shooting experience from her career.

On the other end of the spectrum was Pretty in Pink, which Ringwald revealed further in the show was her favorite filming experience so far. She gave it a 10, saying that, in fact, the movie was written for her; she claimed writer John Hughes wrote the part specifically for her, and she made a collage out of the experiences on the set that she has in her bedroom.

The sitcoms The Facts of Life and Diff'rent Strokes received a two from her; Not Another Teen Movie from 2001 received a four; Teaching Mrs. Tingle from 1999 received an eight; and Jem and the Holograms from 2015 received a seven. In addition to her subsequent television performances in CW's Riverdale and Netflix's Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, Ringwald is most remembered for her parts in classic 1980s teen films like Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, and Pretty in Pink.
