In Manhattan, even building a neighborhood apparently requires surviving zombies, grudges, and Negan doing something spectacularly Negan. The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 3 finds Maggie and Negan attempting to turn Manhattan into a thriving community alongside Renata’s group, only for a food crisis to send Negan across a dangerous line. Suddenly, rebuilding civilization looks considerably harder than killing walkers.

Although Season 3 is already airing, its episode schedule remains surprisingly murky, leaving viewers wondering when the next batch of walker-filled chaos will arrive.

The dead are walking, Manhattan is barely holding together, and Season 3 still has three episodes left to unleash. The Walking Dead: Dead City has already released its first five episodes, leaving Maggie Rhee and Negan Smith with one final stretch of trouble before the September 13 finale. Here is the schedule for the remaining episodes

August 30, 2026: Episode 6, Genesis

September 6, 2026: Episode 7, Hourglass

September 13, 2026: Episode 8, Tenebrae

With the New Babylon Federation looming and Manhattan still struggling to become a functioning community, the remaining episodes have plenty of trouble to deliver. Maggie Rhee and Negan Smith may have finally forged an alliance, but dwindling resources, dangerous enemies, and difficult choices could turn their fragile peace into another Walking Dead nightmare.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan Reacts to Negan’s Big Moment in the ‘Walking Dead: Dead City,’ Hints What’s Next

With only three episodes left in the season, even Jeffrey Dean Morgan's purse-smacking anecdote can not stop fans from thinking what is going to happen next.

What may happen in the upcoming The Walking Dead: Dead City episodes

Episode 6 left quite a mess behind, because nothing says family reunion like Hershel revealing that Negan killed Fabian while Maggie discovers Dillard has been attacked. The result is an immediate dash to the hospital, where old grievances are unlikely to receive the gentle care of modern medicine. Maggie and Negan have trust issues. Naturally.

The cheerful alternate universe is over; Beth Greene has returned to the grave of reality, and New York is once again thoroughly dreadful. Negan’s redemption campaign now faces trouble from Alan, tensions involving his son, and Manhattan’s increasingly vicious factions. Ultimately, Episodes 7 and 8 will force Maggie Rhee, Negan Smith, and their uneasy allies to confront the consequences of everything that has happened as The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 3 races toward its bloody conclusion.
