The FIFA World Cup 2026 is taking over the globe, but it seems to have hit New York City the hardest. The city's borough presidents and Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani announced a new schedule of over 100 free watch parties where both locals and tourists may watch World Cup matches and celebrate the global sport. The city's parks, plazas, marketplaces, and theaters will host the watch parties, which are spread across all five boroughs.
With funding from NYC Tourism + Conventions, the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC), the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation, the New York City Department of Transportation (DOT), and the five borough presidents of the city, are hosting watch parties.
The schedule has been made live for the people to help them better plan their match experience around the city.

Where to catch the FIFA action in NYC
Mayor Zohran Mamdani announced a list of free city watch parties for the FIFA World Cup 2026 on Thursday. The Bronx is going to host one on July 15 at 161st Street between Grand Concourse and Jerome Avenue. Meanwhile, Staten Island will host its event on July 19 at Midland Beach. The other boroughs have a more rigorous schedule, with Queens hosting multiple watch parties - on July 11 at Pilot House Bar & Grill, Averne, NY, and Queens Botanical Garden, Flushing.
On July 14 & 15, a watch party will be held at Pilot House Bar & Grill, Averne; and on July 19 at Queens Borough Hall, Kew Garden, and MoMA PS1, Long Island City.
Brooklyn will invite the football fanatic on July 11 at Brooklyn Borough Hall, Downtown Brooklyn, and on July 19 at Maimonides Park, Coney Island. On the other hand, Manhattan is set for a dual screening on June 27 at SummerStage, Central Park, United Palace, and Washington Heights.
A couple of New York City departments have also taken the initiative to give the city residents and tourists a great community experience for the World Cup.

The New York City Department of Transportation has set up quite a few events starting on June 11 at 2 PM at Paseo Park/34th Avenue Plaza (34th Avenue from 77th Street to 78th Street), Queens. Moving forward to June 15, the venue booked is at 5 PM at Duane Joseph Plaza (Parkside Avenue and Ocean Avenue), Brooklyn. On June 19 at 2 PM, a party will be held at Banker’s Anchor Plaza (North 15th Street from Nassau Ave to Banker Street), Brooklyn.
On June 23 at 3 PM at Lou Gehrig Plaza (East 161st Street from Walton Ave to Grand Concourse), The Bronx. And on June 24 at 5 PM at Fordham Plaza (Park Avenue and Fordham Road), The Bronx.

Furthermore, the New York City Economic Development Corporation has arranged for all match days watch parties at several locations, including La Marqueta Market, East Harlem, Manhattan; Essex Market, Lower East Side, Manhattan; and Moore Street Market, Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The NYC appears to be all set to give its residents the best possible experience of a FIFA World Cup that is marking a new chapter in its history with the first-ever integration of musical events to elevate audience experience.
