From Academy Award winners to some of Hollywood's biggest talents, the film boasts a brilliant star-studded cast. And if the trailer is any indication, several of its stars are set to show their best performance, which could surpass what are already considered the finest performances of their careers.

But their filmographies already include unforgettable roles, whether as career-defining breakthroughs, award-winning performances, or fan-favorite turns. So, before The Odyssey premieres, here is a look at that one powerful performance that stands above the rest for each actor.

Matt Damon won the Academy Award for co-writing the 1997 film Good Will Hunting alongside his longtime friend Ben Affleck. But he also showed an extraordinary performance in his career as Will Hunting. The film follows a mathematical genius, Will, who works as a janitor at MIT.

But his life takes an unexpected turn when Professor Gerald Lambeau, played by Stellan Skarsgård, discovers him and encourages him to study under his guidance while attending therapy with psychologist Sean Maguire. The actor was remarkable in portraying Will, who is both arrogant and has a vulnerable side. And his chemistry with Robin Williams (Sean) was much appreciated by critics and fans alike.

Anne Hathaway

Amid several iconic performances throughout her career, one of Anne Hathaway's most memorable roles remains her heartbreaking turn in Les Misérables. She showed a hauntingly beautiful performance as Fantine. And her most powerful and emotionally devastating moment is her rendition of 'I Dreamed a Dream.’

Unsurprisingly, Hathaway won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance. This 2012 musical follows former convict Jean Valjean as he seeks redemption after spending several years in prison.

Zendaya

Zendaya has several notable films and television shows to her name, with Challengers featuring one of her strongest performances. However, her best work was seen in the series Euphoria. She played the role of a young teenager, Rue Bennett, struggling with substance addiction and mental health issues.

This complex role was a departure from her more lighthearted roles. Her performance earned her two Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. Whether her role in The Odyssey will surpass what is regarded as the best performance of her career as of now remains to be seen.

Robert Pattinson

Robert Pattinson's resume features some of the most varied roles in recent cinema, from playing the hypocritical preacher in The Devil All the Time to the desperate conman Connie Nikas in Good Time. However, one of the best performances of his career came as Batman. In director Matt Reeves' The Batman, Pattinson brilliantly portrays a dark, brooding version of the Caped Crusader while bringing a unique take to the greatest detective.

And the actor continues to explore and taken on different roles that challenge him as an actor.

Lupita Nyong'o

Lupita Nyong'o has built an impressive career with acclaimed performances in films like Black Panther and Us, but it was 12 Years a Slave that first established her as a major talent. As Patsey, the actress showed a heartbreaking and emotionally raw performance. The role also earned her the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress and helped her make a name for herself as one of the finest actresses in the entertainment industry.

Charlize Theron- Mad Max: Fury Road

Charlize Theron showed one of the greatest action performances of the 21st century as Imperator Furiosa in Mad Max: Fury Road. She conveyed strength and emotional depth through subtle expressions and physicality. The film follows Furiosa as she betrays a tyrannical ruler to find her homeland alongside a group of female prisoners and a drifter.

Theron beautifully balances the emotional elements of the movie while keeping up with the intense action. Whether The Odyssey can eclipse that performance remains to be seen.

Tom Holland

While Tom Holland first won audiences over with his debut as Spider-Man, Spider-Man: No Way Home was a turning point in his career. Balancing humor, grief, and emotional maturity, Holland showed one of his most layered performances yet as Peter Parker struggled with devastating loss and the consequences of his choices. What makes the movie even more interesting is his chemistry with the returning Spider-Men.

Jon Bernthal

Jon Bernthal's portrayal of Frank Castle in The Punisher remains the defining performance of his career. Bringing raw intensity to the role, Bernthal transformed the vigilante into a deeply tragic figure haunted by grief and trauma. Whether performing explosive action scenes or quieter, emotional moments, he gave the character humanity. His version of the Punisher is one of Marvel's most impressive ones.
