Warner Bros. will release a limited-edition 4K box set of the hit show, The Sopranos, on December 8. The new box set contains all 86 episodes of David Chase’s acclaimed series, newly remastered and housed in collectible hardcover lay-flat book packaging with full color cast photography. The set is available for pre-order now, Variety reported.
The new limited-edition release also features a new, never-before-seen bonus featurette with Chase. As per Variety, it is a two-part HBO documentary called Wise Guy: David Chase and The Sopranos, directed by Alex Gibney, about making the series and Chase’s creative process. It will also have hours of previously released bonus content.
The extensive bonus content reflects the enduring legacy of a series that redefined television drama. For context, during its run, The Sopranos won 21 Primetime Emmy Awards out of 111 nominations, including two for Outstanding Drama Series.
