The Social Reckoning is a biographical drama thriller about Frances Haugen, a former Facebook engineer who became a whistleblower after leaking internal company documents known as the Facebook Files. The story follows her decision to reveal what she believed were the platform’s secret practices, and the broader effects of social media on society. Set almost two decades after the founding of Facebook, The Social Reckoning moves beyond the company’s origin story to explore the impact of its rise.

“A companion piece to the hit film The Social Network, Sorkin’s original screenplay is based on the events that gave rise to the Wall Street Journal’s shocking exposé The Facebook Files," read part of the official synopsis.

Meanwhile, bringing this real-life story to the screen is a star-studded ensemble led by some of Hollywood's most in-demand actors.
