And many seem keen to keep up the spooky tradition alive by heading for Friday the 13th. The original film clearly has the same rage as it did back in the day, as it sees a new splash across streaming platforms.

The famous slasher film Friday the 13th is seeing massive interest as it begins ranking among the top 10 on multiple streaming platforms. After arriving on February 14th, it has already climbed to fourth place on the Apple TV store, as per FlixPatrol. On Paramount+, it is one of the most-watched movies in places like Germany and the United Kingdom.

It is also ranking in the top 10 on HBO Max in countries like the Philippines, Indonesia, and Thailand. Viewers across different countries seem drawn to the film, which follows a group of teenagers at Camp Crystal Lake as, one by one, they fall victim to a ruthless, unseen ki----.

The franchise already has 12 more movies, which rival some of the best horror titles on Netflix. This means the love for horror and suspense is only growing, and now, it is getting yet another chapter.

For the series, it is set to bring veterans like Linda Cardellini as Pamela Voorhees, Jason's mother, William Catlett as Levon Brooks, and Devin Kessler as Briana Brooks.

What has raised expectations even higher is that the series will be produced by A24. The company is renowned for creating epic horror projects like X, Pearl, and more. Whether Crystal Lake can live up to the bar set by both A24 and the Friday the 13th franchise remains to be seen.
