This will be the first time the actor-director duo will collaborate on a project despite being associated with each other for around 25 years.

The actor recently dropped a video clip on his X (Twitter) handle where he is depicted sitting in the “Situation Room” with John Goodman, Riz Ahmed, and other characters. 

Director Alejandro G. Iñárritu can be seen in the clip setting up for the scene, and the moment he says action, a loud sound is heard followed by a strong gust of wind, seeming like the aftermath of a devastating blast. As soon as he got the desired reactions from the actors, the director had a big smile on his face and cut the scene. 

Cruise’s X post, which he captioned “The situation's under control,” has garnered almost 60K views so far and lots of comments from fans in just a few hours. There seems to be genuine hype for the film, and the actor’s fans are especially excited because, after quite some time, they will see their favorite star out of his action-star persona.
