The Secret Taylor Swift Mantra Nicole Kidman Preaches Her Daughters to Handle Trolls

In today’s digital age, where every move is scrutinized and every word dissected online, navigating public opinion has become an essential life skill. Celebrities, in particular, are no strangers to the harsh glare of social media, where praise and criticism coexist in a relentless realm. Among those who have mastered the art of rising above negativity, however, is Nicole Kidman. Now, she is also inspiring her teenage daughters to embody self-worth and not lend an ear to the internet chatter. And she is seeking Taylor Swift’s help for the same.
In a recent interview, Nicole Kidman spoke about how she tells her daughters, one of whom just last year stepped foot in the industry, to channel one particular Taylor Swift song against haters.

Speaking to Vogue for their November cover recently, Nicole Kidman discussed various topics, and naturally, the conversation at one point turned to online hate and trolling. Responding to the same, she said she simply walks away and advises her daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret, to do the same. To make it further relatable for her daughters, Kidman shared that she tells them to follow Taylor Swift’s words and "shake it off." Swift’s 2014 hit 'Shake It Off' is famously all about brushing off negativity and handling haters with nonchalance.
Sunday Rose, Nicole Kidman’s eldest biological daughter, whom she shares with her soon-to-be ex-husband Keith Urban, notably began modelling last year and, by extension, became more vulnerable to hate from the outside world. About her 17-year-old's showbiz career, Kidman shared how she is terrified of the fact, but does not have the authority to oppose it, as she herself began acting at 14. Kidman’s career, hands down, is still going strong, as she discussed with Vogue her much-anticipated future project, Practical Magic 2.
Starring opposite Sandra Bullock, Nicole Kidman will debut the project in 2026. This year, however, she said she and her co-star had a blast shooting it while keeping their families at the forefront.
